2021 Skill competitions dates announced
Regional competitions starting soon. Our first regional is kicking off with the Southland competition in Invercargill later this month, with Northland region holding their competition in Whangarei in late May, and the Waikato event in Hamilton late June. We will soon be confirming dates for Bay of Plenty, Wellington, and Canterbury. National competitions from October.

Regional Competitions – dates coming soon
One day (8 hour) regional competitions will be held in Northland, Auckland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Christchurch and Invercargill.
- General entry criteria:
- Undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship (no age restriction)
- Undertaking a qualification at a Polytechnic or Private Training Establishment (PTE) (no age restriction)
- Recently completed (in 2020 or later) an apprenticeship or traineeship (age restriction)
- Recently completed (in 2020 or later) a qualification at a Polytechnic or PTE (age restriction)
In addition, meet any Skill specific criteria.

National Finals from October
Regional competitors who score highly in their competition may be invited to compete in the National final. National finalists from across the country will be invited to compete in the three day (24 hour) finals.
